A perfect sandwich is more than filling up two slices of bread.
It's about blending a few simple ingredients in just the right way to a make a plain, routine dish into something happy and memorable!
Imagine your simple sandwich recipe being one of the highlights of your luncheon or picnic!
Right Chef? OK, here we go...
130 g chopped chicken breast
50 g of butter (room temperature)
2-3 tablespoons of mayonnaise
130 g krolewski cheese slices (or your choice)
2 tablespoons of fresh cut green onion
Few leaves of lettuce
Parsley
Cherry tomatoes
Salt, black pepper and paprika to taste
4-6 sandwich bread slices
Place butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped chicken
breasts. Saute until light and crispy. Everything should have a nice
golden brown color. When done, set aside.
Wash and dry the green onions. Slice finely and add to the bowl. Sprinkle with parsley.
Add the cooked chicken pieces and mix with the onions and parsley.
Finally add the mayonnaise, and mix well with the chicken and onions.
Season with a little bit of salt, black pepper and paprika to taste.
Before starting the sandwich, lightly toast your sandwich slices. After toasting, spread some mayonnaise over the first bread slice.
Wash and dry the lettuce and place on sandwich slices. Next add some cheese slices.
Spread the salad mixture on the sandwich. Add some sliced cherry tomatoes.
Et Voila!!
If you're serving young children (like my Chef) it's best to cut the sandwiches into halves.
To make this the best chicken salad sandwich ever, serve with carrot and celery sticks. Get creative and add other sliced veggies as side treats!
You can also add fresh cucumber slices if you're really hungry.
Enjoy!!
