About new pages - and just fun things we did from time to time!
As you will find out, Summer is my favourite season of the year. But I lament that it's too short and goes by too quickly for me.
So I've made a new recipe just to celebrate my joy of Summer: my orange chicken leg recipe! I hope you like it!
And for those of you craving some Italian flavor, my stupido Chef has put up my new prosciutto wrapped chicken recipe!
Thank you, as always, for reading, trying and letting me know how much you like my recipes. It really means a lot :)
This week end my Chef and I decided to take our friend, Anthony, out for lunch to his favorite restaurant. Anthony Dyson was our instructor at Humber College. His course laid out all the details for putting up a successful website with SBI. It's because of Anthony we now have a site that we're very proud of!
So, it was a very, very warm day when we arrived. But we couldn't find Anthony anywhere. So my Chef decided to get snap happy and take a few pics of me and the restaurant.
Still - no Anthony!
Then my Chef had a bright idea: maybe Anthony's already inside!
And sure enough, my Chef was right. Well....there's a first time for everything, I guess!
As you can see, this was a very lovely restaurant with a beautiful decor and ambience. We spent the whole afternoon talking and catching up on everything. And eating too.
Of course, you can guess what we had: Chicken!!! My favorite food...
My Chef and I had some salad to start. Anthony had a quarter chicken. My Chef had a chicken stir fry, and I had baked chicken. The stir fry had a wide assortment on vegetables including snow peas, peppers, napa, carrots, brocoli, mushrooms, sprouts... Chef I don't know how you fit all that inside of you!!
As you can see from some of these pictures, this is a place after my own heart. Not only was the food delicious, but it was served with sides that were very colorful too - just the way I like to make my recipes!.
After all that delectable food, we finished up with a nice cup of coffee - another one of Anthony's passions! (But not my Chef's!) More time together to reminisce and reflect...
Soon though, it was time to say good bye.
It was a very memorable and wonderful day!
Thank You Anthony! We'll always be grateful for all your help and friendship!
When I was in Belgium, I often had spaghetti bolognese.
Memories like this always trigger inspiration (like my Chicken Shepherd's Pie and my Chicken Lasagna).
This time?!...
Chicken Bolognese Sauce Recipe!!
Have a look and let me know what you think!
I'm so excited about my latest pages.
We've worked out a very special measurement conversion table so you'll never have to worry about metric or Imperial again!!
And, finally, another new recipe is up. This time a dinner-for-two-recipe directly from Peru to you!!
As always, you can let me know what you think right here!!
Hi Again Everyone!
Hope you enjoy my latest recipe with a real Canadian twist!
I've lived and worked in Canada now for seven years as of this summer of 2012.
I love all the seasons of this country and I think this recipe is the best way to celebrate the best of both worlds:
The winter harvest of maple syrup with the summer tradition of a BBQ!!
Let me know what you think!! Enjoy :)
Last week my Chef and I decided to have a special dinner for two.
We took lots of pictures and had a wonderful time.
This gave me an idea for a new page!
Have a look here!
Enjoy :)
Hi Everyone!
Exciting new changes are starting to happen here on my site!
The first thing you'll is a new streamlined look. Every recipe will be easier to follow with clear headings and outlines.
And here is my first recipe to feature the new look. Be sure to let me know what you think!
Chicken Pasta Salad Recipe (With My Chef’s Special Dressing)
The rest of the changes? Those will be a surprise!! So keep watching!!
Happy Cooking :)
Back in late February, I got a chance to take a tour of the Calphalon Culinary Centre.
This facility offers cooking classes, demonstrations, and even wine tasting classes! (I can see my Chef not being interested!)
We were welcomed with a glass of wine and freshly made appetizers. Then we got personalized aprons and recipes which we were going to cook. After this we got the grand tour of the place.
Fortunately, I had my camera with me too!
So you can see for yourself what I got to see.
