It takes very little time to make, too! This easy chicken recipe is another one those dishes that goes great at dinner time with your family.

Your friends and dinner guests wouldn’t be disappointed either!

Neither will my chef!

Ingredients (Serves 4 meins):

4 chicken breasts, boneless, skinless
1 small head of broccoli
2 – 4 celery stalks
2 medium onions
4 tablespoons of soy sauce
2 teaspoon of cornstarch
¼ cup cold water
2-3 tablespoons vegetable oil
salt and pepper to taste
1 tablespoon sugar
200 ml of chicken broth
150 g of bean sprouts
1 tablespoon of finely chopped parsley

Directions:

Wash the chicken breasts thoroughly. Dry on a paper towels.

Next, chop them all into bite size pieces.

Wash all the veggies next. Slice the broccoli into long, slender strips. Do the same with the celery. Peel the onions and cut into slim half-circle slices.

In a medium bowl combine the soy sauce and cornstarch with cold water. Set aside.

Heat the oil in a medium sized saucepan over medium heat. Add the salt and pepper (to taste), sugar and broth. Mix everything well together. Continue cooking for around 5-8 minutes on low to medium heat.

Add the chopped chicken breasts. Cook for about 3-5 minutes on medium heat.

Add the celery, onion, broccoli, and bean sprouts.

Then, finally, add the cornstarch mixture.

Cook uncovered for few minutes, stirring time to time.

Serving Suggestions:

This simple and delicious chicken chow mein recipe goes perfectly with rice!

So....

Serve this with cooked rice and, of course, a salad! Like my Chef says, what meal would be complete without a salad.

Be sure to drizzle some of the leftover sauce on top - the chicken and rice I mean - not the salad! :)
