A chicken pasta recipe kids will love. This will be especially true when you add sauce!
Kids always love to play around! Sometimes they even sneak food from their brothers or sisters when they're not looking! Isn’t that true? :)
Sometimes my Chef acts like that, especially when he starts making pasta chicken recipes.
...don't ask!...
Et voila!
100 g cooked chicken breasts
100 g of spaghetti
30 g of roasted almonds, ground
40 g of Parmesan cheese (or cheese of your choice) grated
1-2 tablespoons oil
1 teaspoon of finely chopped parsley
Pepper to taste
1 cup of fresh basil
2-3 tablespoons of oil
1-2 crushed garlic cloves
1 medium tomato, chopped
Salt to taste
Put the basil, oil, garlic, tomatoes and a pinch of salt in a blender. Mix it all together smoothly!!
Empty everything into a medium sized bowl. Cover and set aside.
Cook the pasta in hot, lightly salted water, with a little bit of oil, for a few minutes. (Follow the directions on the package. In most cases it should be no more than 7-8 minutes, otherwise it’ll lose all its taste). The oil prevents the pasta from sticking!
Place a skillet over low-to-medium heat. Add oil. Stir in the pesto sauce
Then add the cooked spaghetti and let it heat gently.
Sprinkle with the ground almonds and grated cheese.
Cut the prepared chicken breast into small pieces and add to the spaghetti.
Season with some pepper.
Toss everything well.
Make sure their food is not too hot. This way kids will spend their time eating instead wasting their energy blowing. Or worse, getting distracted and not interested anymore in eating!!
To serve, keep it simple. Sprinkle with chopped parsley! That’s it!
Buen provecho mis amigos!
