This Garlic Chicken Recipe is delicious. I absolutely love it! I hope you do too!!
This takes a little longer to prepare because we are of course baking everything. But the tastes in this recipes are worth the wait:
In addition to the garlic, I've also got apples in this recipe. And as you know an apple a day keeps the doctor away.
Now if I could only a vegetable to keep my Chef away...sometimes!!...
1 chicken
4-5 apples
1 teaspoon salt
1-2 tablespoons of butter
3 of crushed garlic to rub the chicken with
Salt and pepper to taste
10 g sugar
1 onion (optional)
3-4 mushrooms (optional)
1 cup of chicken broth (optional)
Wash the chicken thoroughly. Dry with paper towels.
Sprinkle with some salt and pepper. Rub with crushed garlic.
Wash and peel the apples. Then remove the core and cut into quarters. Stuff the chicken with the apples and sugar.
Place the chicken in a baking dish.
For a really nice chicken sauce you can create one with onions, and mushrooms, washed and sliced.
If you do this, wait until the chicken has baked for half its cooking time. Then remove from the oven and add the sliced mushrooms and onions in the baking dish around the chicken.
If you place them on the chicken they will burn and we don't want that.
It's a good idea to add a little extra water or butter, or even some chicken broth.
The chicken will be delicious!
Place in oven that's been pre-heated to 250°C/480°F. Bake around 1½ hours.
When the chicken is ready, portion the chicken into individual pieces to get it ready for serving.
Pour over the onion and mushroom sauce before serving with your choice of veggies.
And a nice side of green salad always goes great with any but especially this one.
Enjoy!
